Hot press / List of 10 manufacturers
What is a Hot press?
A hot press is a device that processes materials heated to high temperatures by applying high pressure. It is widely used because the metal material becomes soft when it is heated to a high temperature, and when high pressure is applied to it, it can be plastically processed, that is, it can be processed into the desired shape. Pressurization is basically a single-axis type with only one direction, but there is also a multi-axis type that can pressurize from various directions, and it is selected according to the application. A hot press with a high temperature of 2,000 ° C or higher is used to process ceramics from several hundred degrees Celsius.
Application of Hot press
There are two main types of hot presses, the first is a hot press for joining, which is used when joining and molding metals and composite materials. This is a relatively low temperature and will be used at several hundred degrees. The other is a hot press for sintering, which is used when making ceramics and metal oxide film substrates. Ceramics typified by aluminum oxide and metal oxide film substrates need to be treated at high temperatures, and extremely hard ceramics can be obtained by compacting aluminum oxide powder with high pressure.
