What is a Laser welder?
A laser welder is one of the laser processing machines and is used for metal welding and cutting. The laser beam puts energy into the work piece and melts it in a very short time, and it hardens immediately, so distortion after welding is reduced. Another feature is that it can be processed at a higher speed than conventional welding methods. In addition, by adjusting the wavelength, energy density, and beam spot diameter of the laser, it is possible to handle microfabrication. YAG lasers, CO2 lasers, and fiber lasers are used as oscillators for laser welders, but in recent years, disk lasers and semiconductor lasers have become more common. This technology can be used to weld very delicate parts that do not want to be affected by heat, as well as titanium, which is easily oxidized by heat.
Application of Laser welder
Laser welding supports materials of various sizes, from large ones such as automobile bodies and frames to relatively small ones such as dies and microfabrication of electronic parts. We also have a variety of processing technologies such as welding of metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and copper, fine processing such as spot welding of electronic parts, and highly airtight seam welding.
