What is a Deaerator?
A defoaming device is a device used to remove gas (air bubbles) contained in a liquid. It is used in the production process of various products, from low-viscosity liquids such as water and chemicals to high-viscosity liquids such as resins and oils. There are various types of products depending on the liquid used and the application, and defoaming devices that use ultrasonic waves and gas permeable membranes in addition to vacuum (decompression), pressurization, and centrifugal force are on sale.
Application of Deaerator
The most commonly used defoaming device is the vacuum defoaming device that defoams by depressurizing. It is used for defoaming silicone rubber and various resins because bubbles can be discharged into decompressed air over time even for highly viscous liquids. An additive called an antifoaming agent that makes the film of foam that reaches the surface of the liquid fragile is sometimes used in combination.
