Electric furnace / List of 8 manufacturers
What is a Electric furnace?
An electric furnace heats, melts, and burns specimens such as metal, glass, ceramics, and semiconductor parts by heating the built-in heater (heater) with electric force to bring the inside of the furnace to a high temperature. It is a test device used for such purposes. The purpose of the test is to develop new materials and analyze chemical materials, as well as combustion tests and heat resistance tests. The maximum temperature that can be set in the electric furnace varies depending on the product, but in general, there are types that can be set from around 1000 ° C to around 3000 ° C.
Application of Electric furnace
In addition to the type of electric furnace that sets the inside of the furnace to a high temperature, there is also a type called a vacuum furnace that can make the inside of the furnace close to a vacuum. There is also a type of rotary kiln that can evenly heat the sample by automatically rotating the sample placed in the refrigerator. Some of this type also have a mechanism that allows the sample to be taken in and out automatically. There are various types of heating elements used as heaters. Iron nichrome wire and Kanthal wire are used as heating elements up to about 1300 ° C. Silicon carbide heating elements are used up to about 1500 ° C, molybdenum dissylated up to about 1800 ° C, and carbon (graphite) up to about 3000 ° C.
