Reamer / List of 17 manufacturers
What is a Reamer?
A reamer is a tool for finishing holes, and is the size of the hole in the design document, etc., for a pilot hole with a diameter smaller than the final hole that has been pre-machined with a cutting tool such as a drill. It is used for the purpose of finishing work with high precision according to the specifications that require surface precision. Reamers are distinguished from drills, and generally have 6 to 8 cutting edges, and can be finished into holes with little deviation or error from a circular shape. Reamer processing ranges from mechanical to manual. Depending on the situation such as when processing a material with low hardness, etc., the finishing work is done manually without using a large machine.
Application of Reamer
Reamers are used in a variety of industries and are used in the manufacturing industry to manufacture parts. It has a wide range of applications, from automobile and aircraft parts to electronic parts and nozzles, and is used for drilling holes that require high precision. There are various types of reamers, such as those that are attached to a machine and those that are used manually, those that are of different sizes, and those that have different lengths and blade attachments. Since the speed at which cutting can be performed varies depending on the material of the object to be machined and the nature of the liquid used during cutting, it is necessary to select the optimum reamer according to the shape and dimensions of the hole.
