What is a Hammer drill?

Hammer drills are used to remove wall mortar or to drill holes in concrete. Since it destroys concrete, it is also a powerful device that can give a fairly strong impact, and you can often see it being used at construction sites. As the name implies, a hammer drill gradually destroys the hard concrete part where the bit is shot by the force of both the vertical impact of the hammer and the rotation of the drill.
