What is a Mounter?
A mounter is a device that places electronic components on a board before soldering. Also called a surface mounter or chip mounter, there are types of rotary mounters and modular mounters. In addition, there are high speed, medium speed, and low speed depending on the model. Surface mounting is the mainstream method currently used for mounting most electronic components because it saves space compared to mounting in holes in printed circuit boards. Special small lot products may be implemented by hand.
Application of Mounter
Many boards are surface-mounted using mounters, and can be found in most places that require electrical circuit boards, such as mobile phones, smartphones, game consoles, various home appliances, automobile boards, airplanes, and rockets. The surface mounting process by the mounter begins with the pretreatment of the board. After that, the electronic components are placed on the board with a mounter, and the solder is melted and mounted on the surface in a reflow oven. In order to support a wide variety of electronic components, there are mounters that can be used for irregular shapes and large ones.
