What is a Automatic titrator?
An automatic titration device is a device that automatically performs titration, equivalence point determination, and concentration calculation in titration analysis. By adding functions such as sample weighing and continuous measurement of multiple samples, a large number of samples can be analyzed efficiently. In the case of manual titration analysis, individual errors are likely to occur depending on the measurer when determining the equivalence point and visually confirming the titration amount, whereas in the automatic titration device, relatively stable conditions are met regardless of individual experience. The feature is that it is easy to obtain the results in.
Application of Automatic titrator
Titration is classified into four types, neutralization titration, chelate (complex) titration, precipitation titration, and redox titration, depending on the type of chemical reaction used. Automatic titration equipment is mainly used in quality control, inspection and testing where these titrations are required. For example, neutralization titration is used not only for quality control of foods and drinks such as fruit juice drinks, sake and shochu, but also for neutralization tests of petroleum products and lubricating oils (JISK2501: 2003). Chelatometric titration, which is based on the principle of coordination to metals, is used not only in industries dealing with metals, but also in measuring the hardness of water. Precipitation titration is used to measure salt concentration in foods and to quantify chloride in peritoneal dialysis fluid. In particular, titration technology is indispensable in the field of surface treatment (plating), and plays an important role in the development of new functional materials and miniaturization / energy-saving technologies.
