What is a Light switch?

An optical switch, also called an optical line switching device, is a device for optical communication that can branch a specific signal or change its destination without converting an optical signal into an electrical signal. Since there is no need to convert it into an electrical signal, switching is possible while maintaining the high speed characteristic of optical communication. Optical switches can be broadly classified into three types, depending on the switching method. There are two types of methods: a mechanical method that switches the optical path by moving an input/output element or an optical element mounted on an electrical actuator; a MEMS method that uses a weak force such as static electricity to control and switch the position of a minute optical element;
