What is a Thumb rotary switch?

A thumbwheel switch is a setting switch that converts and outputs binary, decimal, or hexadecimal codes by combining ON/OFF signals of multiple contact circuits corresponding to a selected value by turning a disc-shaped part called a rotor.It is also called a digital switch or a thumbwheel switch. There are two types of operation: a rotary operation method that rotates with a finger or the like, and a push operation method that presses a button. There is also a thumbwheel switch that can only be operated with a thin pen-like object to prevent erroneous operation and a lock function that locks the set value so that it does not change.
