What is a Multilayer ceramic capacitor?

A Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitor (MLCC) is a type of capacitor made by stacking thin layers of ceramic material. These capacitors have high heat resistance and excellent insulation properties, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. Inside, multiple metal electrodes are layered, with ceramic material placed in between. Increasing the number of layers improves the capacitance and voltage tolerance of the capacitor. MLCCs are widely used in electronic devices that require compact, high-capacity, and high-reliability components, particularly in digital devices, communication equipment, and power circuits.
