What is a Infrared camera?
An infrared camera is a camera that captures "infrared rays," which are a type of electromagnetic wave, and creates images. With a normal digital camera, you take pictures using electromagnetic waves called "visible light" that can be seen by the human eye. These cameras have the problem that it is difficult to shoot in an environment without a light source such as darkness. On the other hand, infrared cameras use infrared light instead of visible light. Infrared rays come from all objects with heat, except those at absolute zero. In other words, an infrared camera that can detect infrared rays can shoot with or without a light source, unlike a normal camera.
Application of Infrared camera
The characteristic of infrared cameras is that they can detect infrared rays that cannot be captured by ordinary digital cameras. It is used as a security camera / surveillance camera because it can be used without problems even in the dark, where it is difficult to shoot with a normal digital camera. In addition, it is possible to know information about the heat and temperature of the object and information about the composition of the object from the infrared rays emitted by the object to be photographed. Therefore, infrared cameras are widely used in addition to simple camera applications such as temperature control and inspection in production processes and infrastructure.
