GNSS module / List of 2 manufacturers
What is a GNSS module?
The GNSS module is a module for acquiring data such as position information using signals from artificial satellites. GNSS is an abbreviation for Global Navigation Satellite System, which stands for Global Positioning Satellite System. GNSS is a general term for GPS, which is a typical system for determining location information, GLONASS, which is a location information observation system using Russian artificial satellites, and Galileo in the EU. By using signals sent from various artificial satellite systems, it is possible to measure position information with higher accuracy.
Application of GNSS module
The GNSS module is used to measure vehicle position, speed, and direction of travel, and to obtain location information for smartphone map functions. When selecting a GNSS module, it is necessary to consider the size and cost of the module, the processing size of the signal received from the antenna, and so on. In addition, it is necessary to secure impact strength against dropping for smartphones and tablet PCs, and heat and vibration strength for in-vehicle GNSS modules.
