What is a Transmittance measuring instrument?
A transmittance measuring device is a device that measures the rate at which light is transmitted through glass, for example. Conversely, it is also possible to know how much incident light is reflected and absorbed by a measurement object such as glass. Some substances are transparent and some are colored. Transparent objects transmit light well, but they are not 100% transparent and reflect and absorb to some extent. In addition, there may be legal standards such as how much transmittance is required to ensure brightness from the viewpoint of safety.
Application of Transmittance measuring instrument
In automobiles, it is stipulated by law that the transmittance of the windshield and the glass on the sides of the driver's seat and passenger's seat must be 70% or more when the window film is stretched. If the transmittance is lower than that, the visibility will be obstructed and there is a high possibility that an accident will occur. For this reason, after attaching the wind film, the transmittance must be measured with a transmittance measuring device to be 70% or more. We measure the transmittance using a transmittance measuring device for inspection after manufacturing various transparent films and glass as well as automobiles, and check whether it meets the regulation.
