What is a Low resistance measuring instrument?
A low resistance measuring instrument is a device that can accurately measure minute resistance in units of milliohms, which is less than 1 ohm. Low resistance includes thermoelectromotive force generated between contacts and electrodes of different types of metal, resistance generated by contacting terminals, resistance slightly possessed by conductors, etc., and is generally used for low resistance measuring instruments. In the resistance measurement of, the measured value is not unstable because it is greatly affected by the slight resistance that can be ignored. Therefore, when measuring ordinary resistance, a two-terminal measurement method is used, but for low resistance measuring instruments, a four-terminal measurement method is generally used in order to minimize the error.
Application of Low resistance measuring instrument
Low resistance measuring instruments are used to measure and test resistance values on various low resistance samples. Specific examples include testing of contacts and contact parts, and the contact resistance generated at contact parts such as switches in breakers and power circuit breakers is measured. It is also used to measure the resistance of resistors, and is the shunt resistance used to detect the current of special motors from resistors used in products such as general household appliances. There are also vessels.
In addition, since the resistance value of electric wires increases with length, it is also effective for testing electric wires and wires that are about to break, and is used to measure minute resistance of conductors.
