What is a Optical measuring instrument?
Optical measuring instruments are called "Optical Measuring Instruments" in English, and are mainly used for photometry. As the name implies, it is a measuring instrument for light, and by processing light waves, it is used to make images easier to see and to analyze their characteristics. Optical measuring instruments generally include illuminance meters, luminance meters, radiometers, and integrating spheres. Depending on the device, it is possible to combine these to measure optical characteristics such as transmission and reflection with high accuracy. Optical measuring instruments are also available for three-dimensional measurement. Such an optical CMM is a non-contact measuring instrument that uses images to make measurements, similar to optical comparators and measuring microscopes. Also called a CNC image measuring instrument, it utilizes image processing technology to perform high-speed, high-precision automatic measurement. CNC is an abbreviation for "Computer Numerical Control".
Application of Optical measuring instrument
Optical measuring instruments are used in a variety of applications. For example, illuminance meters are called ultraviolet illuminance meters and ultraviolet intensity meters, and are used for sealing electronic components and printing printed circuit boards. Most are used to control the strength of lamps used in sterilization processes in various industries. Other optical measuring instruments include integrating spheres, but a typical integrating sphere is a spherical photometer. A spherical luminous flux is a small integrating sphere that is used to compare and measure the total luminous flux of a lamp and is attached to a spectrophotometer and used to measure spectral reflectance. It has also been commercialized as a portable measuring instrument and can be carried around. However, since large products are also sold for integrating spheres, care must be taken when considering the introduction. It is mainly used to measure the total luminous flux of a light source, and the measurement targets include fluorescent lamps, incandescent lamps, and backlights of mobile devices.
