What is a Constant current diode?
A constant current diode is an electronic component that allows a constant current to flow when the voltage is within a specified range. It is sometimes called "CRD" from the initials of the English name "Current Regulative Diode". Among electronic devices, there are many devices that require a constant current value while driving, such as LEDs. CRDs are used in such electronic devices. Constant current diodes are generally used to pass a relatively small current of 1mA to 15mA, but there are also constant current diodes that can pass a large current of 500mA. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the heat generated during operation and the accompanying damage to the parts.
