What is a Switching diode?
Diodes, like transistors and ICs, are one of the basic electronic components, and while resistors and capacitors are called passive components, they are also called active components. Semiconductors such as silicon, germanium, and gallium arsenide are used as materials. In general, diodes have the function of keeping current and voltage constant, and the function of allowing current to flow only in one direction. A switching diode is a diode that has a short time (switching time) for switching from a conductive state in which current flows in one direction to a cut-off state when the direction of current is switched in the opposite direction (switching time).
