In-circuit tester / List of 7 manufacturers
What is a In-circuit tester?
An electronic circuit board is indispensable inside an electronic device. In order for an electronic device to function properly, the electronic circuit board must operate normally. An electronic circuit board can be operated when electronic components are correctly mounted on a printed wiring board (board) and power is supplied. It is in-circuit to inspect the board with these electronic components mounted. It is a tester. It is possible to electrically inspect the characteristics of individual components mounted on the board with a small amount of electric power without moving the board. The position of the defective part can be identified without damaging the board, and the defective part that is difficult for human eyes to find can be reliably found.
Application of In-circuit tester
In-circuit testers include press-type in-circuit testers and flying probe testers. The press-type in-circuit tester is capable of high-speed inspection and is suitable for mass-produced boards. It is also used as an inspection jig. The flying probe tester does not require an inspection jig and is suitable for small-quantity, high-mix substrates. In addition, it is possible to handle fine patterns. Specifically, there are short / open defects in solder, defects due to incorrect constants such as capacitors, coils, and resistors, defective parts such as capacitors, coils, resistors, diodes, and transistors, defective lead floating of ICs and connectors, and photocouplers. It is used to check the operation of digital transistors and Zener diodes. In special inspections, it is used for image inspection of parts that cannot be electrically inspected, adhesion (solder) defect inspection such as SOP and QFP, and simple function inspection.
