What is a Alignment tester?
An alignment tester is a device that measures the position, angle, and direction of wheels, which is called alignment of automobiles. Alignment is the angle called camber, caster, toe, etc. for the parts that make up the suspension, such as the suspension parts and arm parts of the car. If the alignment is not suitable, it may not run straight, the vehicle body may not be stable due to the brakes, and the tires may wear unevenly, so it is necessary to adjust and maintain the appropriate value. Use an alignment tester to measure the alignment.
Application of Alignment tester
Alignment tester applications are used to measure the alignment of a car.
The car alignment is mainly as follows,
Camber: Shows the amount of tire tilt when looking at the car from the front. When the tire is in the vertical direction, it is called 0 °, and when the upper side of the tire is open compared to the lower side, it is called positive camber, and when the lower side of the tire is open compared to the upper side, it is called negative camber.
Caster: When you look at a car from the side, it is the inclination of the steering axis called the kingpin.
Toe: The opening angle of the tire when looking at the car from above. Inward facing is called toe-in, and outward facing is called toe-out.
