What is a Galvanometer?
A galvanometer is a device that measures current. Sometimes called a galvanometer. Many may have used a galvanometer in a science experiment at school. A clamp is connected to a simple galvanometer, and the current value is read by driving this clamp connected to the circuit. There are two types of galvanometers, one that is read by an analog memory and the other is a digital type that displays numerical values. Generally, a galvanometer is a device for detecting a minute current. At manufacturing sites such as electricity, electronics, and machinery, galvanometers are sometimes used to measure very small current values such as nanoamperes and microamperes.
Application of Galvanometer
The current value is a basic physical quantity in the field of electronic measurement, and is measured in various fields. Among current measurements, galvanometers are devices for measuring minute currents, and are used for product development and quality control in industries such as semiconductors, electronic components, and functional materials. Especially in information equipment that measures very small currents of less than nanoamperes, it is necessary to use a special device called an electrometer.
