What is a Continuity tester?
A testing machine that can connect various cables, harnesses, and connectors to a continuity tester and automatically test that the cables, etc. are electrically connected as expected at the pin positions at both ends in a short time. It is called a continuity tester. Generally, it is housed in a relatively compact housing, and consists of an LCD panel on the front, a lamp that displays test results, a start button, and buttons for setting test items. Multiple connector terminals for cables to be connected are lined up on the back. There is also a testing machine that can print the test results on a printer. On the other hand, the tester can also be called a continuity inspection machine, but here we will explain the above-mentioned type of inspection machine.
Application of Continuity tester
There is also a continuity tester that can be controlled from a PC to facilitate advance preparation. By setting test items and test contents in detail from a PC and controlling them, the overall test time can be shortened. In addition, there are also types of cables, harnesses, and connectors to be tested that can be tested at once with 100 pins or more. The continuity tester tests that both terminals are properly wired, including cables and connectors, by applying a relatively small voltage between the terminals and passing a current.
