Test indicator / List of 8 manufacturers
What is a Test indicator?
A test indicator is a so-called lever-type dial gauge. The stylus at the tip moves up and down according to the displacement, amplifies it using the principle of the lever, and changes the displacement amount to the rotational movement of the needle and displays the indicated value on the dial scale. Depending on the shape and orientation of the scale display board, there are standard, tilted, vertical, and horizontal types, and there is also a universal type that allows the dial scale to be oriented in any direction. There are scales with a scale of 0.01 mm to 0.001 mm, and the measurement range is also large or small.
Application of Test indicator
The test indicator can be used not only for dimensional measurement, but also for measuring flatness and parallelism by measuring several points on the plane to be measured. You can also measure the runout of the rotating shaft by attaching it to the spindle of a machine tool. It can be used for various purposes such as centering the rotating shaft from the numerical value of runout. Since there are various manufacturers' lineups of test indicators such as the direction of the scale plate and the length of the stylus, you can select the most suitable one according to the application and situation.
