What is a Limit gauge?

The limit gauge is an inspection device for checking whether the corresponding screw and female screw are completed normally. There are mainly gauges that need to pass through to the end and gauges that must not pass through, and both gauges are used to inspect and confirm the relevant threaded part. There are various types, sizes and precisions of screws, so it is necessary to prepare each gauge that matches the inspection target. For inspection, it is necessary to devise ways to minimize the difference between inspectors (such as making the force to insert screws constant and unifying work rules).

Application of Limit gauge

Judgment of the quality of the finished screw cannot be evaluated by two-dimensional dimensions and parameters. This is because there are multiple thread shapes in one base material, not the evaluation of one thread shape. Even if the shape of each screw is correct, the screws cannot be fitted if, for example, the relative positions of adjacent screws are misaligned. For example, at the production site, it is used as a quality guarantee at the time of shipment. For items purchased from suppliers, we will use it for confirmation at the time of acceptance. For parts that have been used to some extent, it may be used in cases where it is judged whether they can be used continuously.
