What is a Inspection mirror / Borescope?
A borescope, also known as a visual inspection mirror, is a small mirror used to observe hard-to-reach areas or parts that are difficult to view directly. It is commonly used in inspection tasks for machines, equipment, engine parts, pipes, and building structures. Typically, a borescope features a mirror at the end of a long handle, which can be adjusted to allow the user to see into spaces that are otherwise out of view. Some models include built-in lighting to aid visibility in dark areas. Borescopes are essential tools for maintenance and repair work, enabling efficient and safe inspections of parts that are difficult to reach or see with the naked eye.
Application of Inspection mirror / Borescope
✅Engine Inspection
A borescope was used to inspect the internal parts of an automobile engine, helping to check hard-to-see areas and detect potential issues early on.
✅Pipe Inspection
A borescope was used to inspect the interior of pipes in tight spaces. It enabled the user to detect signs of wear or leaks that would have been difficult to spot otherwise.
✅Building Structural Inspection
During a structural inspection of an old building, a borescope was used to check the ceiling and wall cavities for any signs of damage or deterioration.
✅Aircraft Inspection
A borescope was used to inspect engine parts of an aircraft, allowing for the quick and effective checking of components in narrow gaps.
