Contactor / List of 4 manufacturers
What is a Contactor?
A contactor is a type of electrical switch used to control high current circuits by turning them on and off. It is commonly used as a relay to control power. It is mainly used to control load devices such as motors, heaters, and lighting. When current flows, the coil of the contactor is energized, causing the contacts to close and allow current to pass through. When the current is stopped, the contacts open, cutting off the power supply to the load devices. The contactor separates the control circuit from the load circuit, allowing safe operation of high-voltage equipment.
Application of Contactor
✅Motor control
Used to turn on and off industrial motors, such as compressors and pumps.
✅Heater control
Used to safely switch the power of heaters to maintain high temperatures.
✅Lighting control
Used in large facilities or factories to control multiple lighting circuits simultaneously.
