What is a EV charger?

An EV charger is a device that charges electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (Plug-in Hybrid EVs). With the spread of electric vehicles, they are now installed in various places such as homes, hotels, hospitals, commercial facilities, highways, and gas stations. There are two types of EV chargers: a wired power supply method that uses a cable and a wireless contactless power supply method. Currently, wired power supply systems, which have a shorter charging time than wireless power supply systems, are the mainstream, but in the future it is expected that the combined use of highly convenient wireless power supply systems will increase. Wired power supply methods can be further classified into normal chargers and quick chargers.
