What is a Lapping board?

A lapping machine is a machine tool that uses a lapping agent on the surface of a workpiece such as a flat surface, a cylindrical outer surface, or a spherical surface finished with a grinding machine to further improve smoothness and dimensional accuracy. Generally, pressure is applied to a horizontal lap surface plate to apply pressure to the work piece, wrap liquid is applied between the work piece and the surface plate, and the work piece is rubbed against each other. The 2-way method is a method in which the lower surface plate and upper surface plate are fixed and the internal gear and sun gear are driven. It is used for processing ceramics and metals. The 3-way method has a method of fixing the internal gear and a method of fixing the upper surface plate. It is used for processing ceramics, metals, silicon, glass, quartz, etc. The 4-way method is a method in which all drive shafts are driven. By using 4 motors, the lap lengths of the upper and lower surfaces are matched. It is used for processing ceramics, metals, silicon, glass, quartz, etc.
