What is a IGBT module?
An IGBT module is a highly integrated module that integrates multiple IGBTs (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors) into a single module. The IGBT was invented in Japan in the late Showa period by combining the merits of the conventionally used base current control type bipolar transistor and the gate voltage control type field effect transistor (FET), which improved its weaknesses, by devising device structures and processes. Initially, it was called an insulated gate type bipolar transistor, and later it was called IGBT, with the initials of "Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor".
