What is a Transmission?

Transmissions are mainly used to adjust driving force by changing gears according to driving conditions and increasing or decreasing torque and rotation speed. On uphills, you can shift to a lower gear and lower the number of revolutions, so you can run more powerfully and reduce the load on the engine and improve fuel efficiency. If the power is an electric motor instead of gasoline or diesel, it is possible to generate almost stable power from ultra-low rotation to high rotation. EVs either have no transmission or can use up to two speeds.
